Murud Beach
|

This beach is located at a distance of 10 km from Dapoli. It is different from the
Murud-Janjira beach situated at Alibaug hence, at times it is known as Murud-Harnai.
Murud beach is a soft sand, long stretch beach with swaying palms and a beautiful,
Durga Devi temple. It is very safe and clean beach. This beach is well suited for
walking, jogging or simply freaking out. Murud is the birth place of Bharat Ratna
Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve.

Harnai Port, Goa Fort, Fategad Fort, Kanakdurg Fort, Light House

Harnai Port is located at 15 km from Dapoli. It is famous for its fish auction which
occurs daily. There are several forts located at Harnai namely, Suvarndurg, Fatehgad,
Kanakdurg and Goa fort. There is also a lighthouse situated near the port. On one
of the highest points on Kanakdurg Fort, there is an old lighthouse which gives
a view of fishing boats, fish auctions, Suvarnadurg fort and the beautiful sunset.
Goa Fort lies on the way of Harnai port. It can be identified by its huge black
stoned wall.

Suvarndurg, Harnai

Suvarnadurg, the Golden Fortress, is a shore fort which is surrounded by sea on
all sides. This fort was conquered by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in 1660. Suvarnadurg
Fort is spread over an area of eight acres surrounded by a very high wall. Suvarnadurg
Fort was the base for the Maratha navy ship-building facility.

Kelashi

|
Kelashi is a small village which is situated near the border of Raigad district.
This village seems like an island as it is surrounded by water. It has a famous
Mahalaxmi temple, Ganesh temple and a lovely beach.

Dapoli Kokan Krishi Vidyapith
|
|
Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidypeeth(University) is situated 5 km from Dapoli.
The chief purpose of this university is agricultural education and research. Konkan
Krishi Vidyapeeth was renamed as Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidypeeth, on
12th February 2001.

Panhalekaji Caves

This is a well known historical manmade cave which is situated 40 km from Dapoli.
There are in all 29 rock-cut caves at Panhalekaji Caves. At this caves, sculptures
of Ganesh, Saraswati and of scenes from Ramayana and Mahabharata can be seen. You
can enjoy the experience of fishing and swimming here.

Unhavare
|
|
Unhavare is famous for its natural hot water springs. There are several tourists
visiting here, to bath in this natural hot water spring. It is surrounded by hills,
magnificent forest and undulating farm land. The source of the hot spring is considered
as a sacred place and has to be visited barefoot.

Pune to Dapoli via Tamhini Ghat(220 km):
Pune – Chandani Chauk – Paud – Mulshi – Dongarwadi – Tamhini Ghat – Vile – Nijampur
– Mangaon – Lonere Phata – Goregaon – Ambet – Mhapral – Shenale – Mandangad – Dapoli
Pune to Dapoli via Mahabaleshwar(250 km):
Pune – Shirur Panchgani – Mahabaleshwar – Poladpur – Bharna Naka – Khed – Furus
– Wakawali – Dapoli
Pune to Dapoli via Bhor Ghat(200 km): Pune
