Vijaydurg Fort, Devgad


This is the oldest fort situated on the coast of Sindhudurg. This fort was built by Raja Bhoj in 1205. It was won by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj from Adilshah of Bijapur in 1653 and was renamed as ‘Vijay Durg’. It is spread over an area of 48 acres.
